This is an interesting question: wine/crossover is presumably intended
to run native windows software for when there is no equivalent or the
equivalent is not useful for whatever reason--e.g. a secretary might be
trained in word and Open Office is different enough that it is not worth
dealing with--although personally at that point I'd wonder about the
wisdom of switching to Linux on his/her box.
But what about cases where a native linux program does a specific
function as or better than an equivalent Windows program--like PDF
conversion. It seems to me a waste of effort working on that aspect.
