I have been having problems running a genealogy program called
RootsMagic with CrossOver Office.
CrossOver is installed in my used account on Xandros. The program
installs well and I was able to import data into it easily. When
running the program several anomalies are immediately obvious.
Therefore, I switched to the CLI descended into /opt/cxoffice/bin and
ran it at the command line with the command ./wine --cx-apt
RootsMagic --cx-log rmfile. I immediately got an error message,
"unable to open the log file: Permission denied".
The RootsMagic program opened almost properly but it failed to open
the database that it was supposed to.
That produces two lines of error message
"fixme:commdlg:GetFileName95 Flags 0x00800000 not yet implemented"
and the error message
"fixme:commdlg:FILEDLG95_HandleCustomDialogMessages
CDM_HIDECONTROL,CDM_SETCONTROLTEXT,CMD_SETD......"
I opened the data file using the programs "open file" command and it
opened properly. Some commands in RootsMagic worked reasonably.
However clicking on some tabs fails the program and produces several
pages of error messages in the CLI. They start as follows:
"wine: Call from 0x7f84cb0f to implemented function
riched20.dll.RichEdit10ANSIWndProc, abort..."
"wine: Unhandled exception (thread 000b), starting debugger..."
"WineDbg starting on pid 0xa"
"Unhandled exception: unimplemented function
riched20.dll.RichEdit10ANSIWnfProc called in 32 bit...."
"In 32 bit mode."
"Register dump:"
Can anyone offer any suggestions?
Thank you, Guy
