Hi Bob,
I'm afraid we're not going to be supporting openSuse 10.2
officially until the version of CrossOver that comes after 6.
It was released after we had finalized our tested plaforms
for Linux (openSuse 10.1 is on that list, but not 10.2).
Now we certainly do nothing in our work to *prevent* CrossOver
from working on any given Linux distribution, but when you're
on a bleeding edge like openSuse or Fedora Core (especially
Fedora Core :-/), I'm afraid that's a risk you take.
With all that said, I think you'll find much more joy with
a 6.0 beta than with 5.0.3. And, hopefully, as we work to make
it integrate cleanly onto opensuse 10.1, those changes will
also make 10.2 work.
